ITC Profile - Daniel by ChapterAquila92 ITC Profile - Daniel by ChapterAquila92
Name: Daniel Patterson
Sex: Male
D.O.B.: 15/04/2027
D.O.I.: 26/08/2032
Gender: Male
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Dark brown
Personality/Appearance: Velociraptor, Male
Abilities: High rate of movement, stealth at will

Eric's little brother. His exposure to Trinity was more extreme compared to the others due to his age when he was injected, and thus he's more feral than humanoid now - only his upper torso and arms remain with a human shape to them. In a similar manner, Dan also displays a schizophrenic behaviour in that he can spontaneously switch his mentality between his normal self and that of a velociraptor, and his social level remains at that of an 8-year-old child, even as an adult. Despite this, he does show an avid ability to learn quickly and has never repeated the same mistake twice - how many mistakes he's made is a different story altogether.

Now that I muse about how each of my characters reflect a part of who I am, I can definitely see Daniel being somewhat a personification of my humour - I don't have much (reflected in his size compared to the others), but sometimes the occasional one-liner that I sometimes spew out brings about a laugh. Not that I mind him - It'll probably do me good to have some form of comic relief later on in ITC to break up the seriousness once in a while.

Note to self: draw Daniel with shorter arms next time...

Aren't there a number of shows, both animated and acted, that feature a unique individual trying to blend in with mainstream society (i.e. Allen Strange or My Life as a Teenage Werewolf)? Then again, I don't see why not another be made.

Perhaps. There haven't been many prehistoric-based films or TV series since the third Ice Age film came out, so I can see it being a welcome change.

Heh, I reckon Velociraptors are my favorite dinosaur.

Interesting umm, personality (not sure whether that's the right word), very rarely used as well

The Jekyll/Hyde personality? Indeed, it is very underused. It is kind of saddening that many characters that should have that kind of personality (lycanthropes especially) are now control freaks.

By that do you mean that the characters have too much control over themselves, as a werewolf would not, or otherwise?

Too much control over themselves like the transformation doesn't make them break out into a different mindset when it really should.

Ah yeah.

I think many peoples characters are like that though because many people use them to role play, and in that case use their characters as an extension of themselves. That said you are right in what you say

True enough. Personally, I find it rather redundant in my case since my real avatar (Volkov is merely a character and therefore not an avatar) is not so much an extension of myself as it is a reflection, with an ability that is based on real-world desires and animalistic traits related to current physical, mental and personality traits (it's the bronze dragon anthro in my ITC collection).

It also depends on the type of society is portrayed in storyline universes too - most people who dabble with fetish-based stories and RPs often write within universes in which the specific fetishes are so common that they're mainstream. I prefer to think of myself as being of the minority who prefer the aftershock effect that follows in universes where the change is abnormal or unnatural due to its rarity.

The way I look at it, a physical change symbolizes a change in conscience. This I've taken literally with ITC, where when personalities change, the main characters change. It's actually not far from real life either, which I like.

Very interesting, just read the first part of it last night (and I shall comment on it later)

Yeah. I won't disagree with you there, as the series of fetish stories written by one of my friends, contains one of the few fetish ones that I have actually read (being very out of tune with most things to do with the net).
I also prefer the 'aftershock effect' as you call it, a few of the stories I wrote sometime ago were sort of based off that sort of thing, in fact the Warhammer role playing er, thing, that I'm working on could be considered that as well.

Makes sense. Reminds me actually a little of the book Tomorrow When The War Began, the idea I mean, not the presentation.

When I meant a reflection, I really meant this. [link]

As of late, I haven't included myself in the storyline just yet (although I have already written that particular chapter).

Like it says in the profile, do expect him to act like an extremely intelligent 8-year-old (more like a six-year-old dinosaur enthusiast right now since this is an image of him a few months after the injection, just shortly after he turned six).

Daniel: I'm sorry, wolf-lady.
