"The thing came out of nowhere. Our combat experience could do nothing as we tried hitting it, only to find that it reappeared somewhere else. Never have I ever seen something move this fast. Ryan and Taylor were the first men to get killed, their heads blown apart instantly before a high-pitched whistle-like screech produced by a high-speed projectile. Wilson was then impaled by a glowing blade, the resulting scream that was produced unnerving me still, Jenkins and Frederick were dismembered quickly afterward, and Eric, Marius and Nigel were throttled against trees and rocks like rag dolls until they were nothing more than bloody pulp.
I had completely crumbled in fear as it looked back at me with a glowing eye, blade raised. It had the erect form of a human, but it's shape was something else. I couldn't bring myself to shoot it with shivering hands that I no longer had control over. A harsh case of migraine erupted in my temple and I winced. looking back up, the thing was moving further away into the mist. It was only until the next morning that I was found by a recovery team. I do not know why I was spared..."
Not something you'd want to come across in a fog cloud on a moonless night.
