"The thing came out of nowhere. Our combat experience could do nothing as we tried hitting it, only to find that it reappeared somewhere else. Never have I ever seen something move this fast. Ryan and Taylor were the first men to get killed, their heads blown apart instantly before a high-pitched whistle-like screech produced by a high-speed projectile. Wilson was then impaled by a glowing blade, the resulting scream that was produced unnerving me still, Jenkins and Frederick were dismembered quickly afterward, and Eric, Marius and Nigel were throttled against trees and rocks like rag dolls until they were nothing more than bloody pulp.
I had completely crumbled in fear as it looked back at me with a glowing eye, blade raised. It had the erect form of a human, but it's shape was something else. I couldn't bring myself to shoot it with shivering hands that I no longer had control over. A harsh case of migraine erupted in my temple and I winced. looking back up, the thing was moving further away into the mist. It was only until the next morning that I was found by a recovery team. I do not know why I was spared..."

Not something you'd want to come across in a fog cloud on a moonless night.

Wow, really well done picture!
As for the subject matter... well, I think everyone's summed it up.
I would not want to see this thing, ever.

It's not related to StarCraft. However, the energy blade was inspired by psi-blades of the Protoss Zealots.

I'm leaving that for you guys to decide, just to see what other people think it is. I've had one person mention something about Halo with regards to this.

Great!
Me thinks those soldiers needed a flamethrower
'Dowse anything that moves !'

Was that gun based off the Austeyr?

That might be a ticket to incendiary deaths on both sides, since anything that moves can imply anything, including allies. Amusingly, team-killers are always the retards with the flamethrowers.

The gun is actually a UCF M685 battle rifle with a high-powered scope, possibly for an auxiliary sniper role.

Yeah I know, I was just quoting a movie I saw awhile back. If used correctly the flamethrower is a very effective weapon, both against personal and things such as tanks, as well as being a great counter to a dug in enemy.

Really? In my experience, admittedly in games that don't have flamethrowers, team-killers are normally the heavy machine gunner or the 10 year old 'Masta Sn1p0rs'. Luckily for me most of them played as the United Sates Marine Core (this is Battlefield 2 by the way), where as I played as the Middle Eastern Coalition, where we were always out numbered (and always out gunned), and normally only two of us could speak English.

Okay, just looked that up and read your thing on it, thumbs up at it.

I was quoting a motivational with regards to the flamethrower, but whatever.

Heh, BF2 never gets old. I always root for the non-Americans and typically play as either the MEC or PLA, much to the chagrin of one of my friends.

Yeah I loved it. I just about always played as the MEC or PLA on occasion. Though I did play as the USMC once with a friend, and killed my entire squad when I did a nose over end flip in the Black Hawk to avoid a AA missile and they all jumped and got hit by the helicopter coming around

Indeed it would, though I don't know whether I would try and do a full flip in a Black Hawk, or any helicopter for that matter, to avoid a missile

I don't know any Spanish unfortunately, although a background in French is helping me understand some of it.

Indeed. The fact that he witnessed his comrades get creamed in immediate succession... I would like to think that he's in psychiatric care because of this experience (you know, rocking back and forth in a straight-jacket).
