I'm quite pleased with the shading work - nine layers of shading in total instead of the usual base/highlight/shade pattern, one layer per category, that I used for previous PhotoShop projects. This was also the first project that saw me use the Bamboo Fun quite a bit, despite switching back and forth between mouse and tablet from time to time.
While I didn't listen to anything but Armored Core soundtracks while working on this, I feel that this song from Black Hawk Down, Gortoz A Ran - J'Attends [link] is appropriate for the mood.

hmm nice! the colouring looks very good on this, the colours are smooth and the shading looks just right
